We are a community dedicated to Financial Stability
We are a community dedicated to Financial Stability
We have the resources to help educate individuals and provide them with the tools needed to make financially responsible decisions.
We fight for financial stability. Our work promotes financial stability education. We address increasing access to affordable housing for individuals and families. We are dedicated to helping hardworking people obtain job training and family sustaining wages.
Financial Stability Classes
Financial Stability classes educate individuals and provide them with the tools needed to make financially responsible decisions. We use real-world examples to teach the basics of banking, saving, and consumer rights.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to households that earned $58,000 or less in the previous year, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. VITA is a financial stability initiative supported by United Way of Brazoria County.
At VITA Sites, IRS-certified United Way volunteers provide free, basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
The 2025 tax season marks the 19th year VITA has been available to residents of Brazoria County.
