Financial Stability Classes
These classes educate individuals and provide them with the tools needed to make financially responsible decisions. We use real-world examples to teach the basics of banking, saving, and consumer rights. In support of these courses, United Way of Brazoria County has received a generous sponsorship from Wells Fargo.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program | Earned Income Tax Credit Initiative (VITA | EITC)
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to households that earned $54,000 or less in the previous year, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. VITA is a financial stability initiative supported by United Way of Brazoria County.
At VITA Sites, IRS-certified United Way volunteers provide free, basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
This tax season marks the 11th year VITA has been available to residents of Brazoria County. Last year, VITA volunteers filed 75 returns for residents, saving them a total of $30,157 in Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC) and $25,912 in Child Tax Credits.
